Meet our Staff
Taking over the ownership of Boland Travel in April 2010 has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. The appreciation and joy that my clients get from their trips is so rewarding I couldn’t imagine myself ever doing anything else! I have worked in the travel industry for over 30years and began in the airline industry and then moved into the Travel Industry 10 years later. I have travelled to Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, Greenland, South Pacific Islands, New Zealand and to all states in Australia. Historical places, anywhere with a view to die for and skiing are my 3 favourite travel passions.
Travel has always called. It started just after Heather finished her university degree and she travelled through Asia then caught the Trans-Siberian Railway to from Vladivostok to London. While living in London she made the most of the close proximity to Europe and visited as much of it as she could as well as caravanning through Scandinavia, and travelling around Egypt and the Middle East. Fast forward to after children and the call was still there so she completed a travel agent’s course and now has over ten years’ experience as a travel consultant and has visited 67 countries. She has seen the highlights of South America, cruised along the rivers of Europe, visited unusual destinations such as Iceland and Borneo and is now keen to help others enjoy the amazing places that are out there.
Belinda loves to travel and after 30 years as a flight attendant, spending her days chatting with clients about exotic destinations is the ideal job. Wildlife and nature are her main passions and she has been to 11 African countries and has had many exciting wildlife encounters. Her latest trips have been to South America including the Galapagos Islands, The Ecuadorian Amazon, Antarctica and also the remotest inhabited island in the world - Tristan da Cunha. However, she is happy to go anywhere, anytime and has a major bucket list that goes beyond the 59 countries she has already visited.
